Why eat unprocessed whole foods instead of processed?

Processed foods typically have the fiber removed. Unprocessed do not.

What are processed foods? White flour products such as cakes, cookies, white bread, chips, among others and white or other refined sugar products.

Fiber in a whole plant food such as a fruit, veggies, oatmeal or beans for example, have about 10-20% of calories as fiber. Fiber has no absorbable calories.

Eating whole plant foods allows for a reduction of at least 10% calories without eating less.

Eat more whole plants, have a natural calorie deficit.
