Exercise and longevity, what\’s the connection?

Happy Monday and tip of the day!

In a recent research study from the British Medical Journal in 2020, results showed that engaging in at least 150 minutes per week of light to moderate cardio exercise and at least 2 days per week of strength training lowered the risk of all cause mortality by 40% (29% from cardio and 11% from strength training). What this means in a nutshell is that exercise helps us live longer and reduces risk of dying from cancer, heart disease among other illnesses. 40% reduction is powerful and more exercise may produce more benefits. This shows how important exercise is for increasing lifespan!
