Beans and blood sugar, what\’s the connection?

What else are beans good for? According to a research study, beans lowered fasting blood sugar, fasting insulin levels, triglycerides (fat in the blood) and LDL cholesterol in those with type 2 diabetes. (Fasting blood tests are an overnight fast of 8-12 hours prior to the blood test). Try cooking dry beans, or buying no salt added canned beans (bpa free). Some stores have precooked beans in a box or a bag. Beans are high in nutrients and fiber as well. Let’s go beans!
