Do we eat more calories if given processed food (refined sugar/deserts, flours, salty food/chips, processed meats etc.) vs whole natural foods (fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans, lean proteins)? What is your experience? Does eating processed foods ever lead you to eat them in excess?
In a study in the journal Cell Metabolism in 2019, those eating an ultraprocessed diet ate 508 more calories per day, then those eating an unprocessed diet when allowed to eat as much as they wanted. See here: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7946062/
