Keeping a food journal is a powerful tool to assist with healthy eating and weight loss. A research study from kaiser permanente showed greater weight loss for those keeping a food journal. Can you lose weight without keeping a journal? Yes. But if there is a weight loss plateau, then all the more important to keep a food journal for data collection to evaluate. I personally lost and have maintained a 30 lb weight loss and do a daily food journal. It’s a habit I created and takes only a few minutes per day to maintain it.
