Do we need a spark to start a mini habit?

Strive to create mini habits. With mini habits, it’s important to have a starter, a spark to get the habit going sometimes. Have a you ever not ‘felt’ like exercising, journaling, prepping, packing, brushing teeth, or some other habit you need to? It’s normal sometimes to not ‘feel’ like it. This is a human instinct to conserve energy. However, this is where just starting the habit causes the dominoes to fall and the rest of the habit is completed. If I don’t feel like making a salad, but first bring all veggies out of the fridge, I will then make the whole salad. If I don’t feel like exercising, by doing the first minute or two, I’ll do the rest of the workout. If I don’t feel like journaling, typing just the first line, leads to the completion of the rest of the journal. Mini habits sometimes need a spark or a first step and the rest of the steps follow. Create and maintain mini habits instead of an all or nothing diet mentality for long tern health and weight loss success.
