How to handle a slip?
Keep it simple: the next meal or snack, get right back on track. Don’t allow self sabotage to throw you off track.
Self sabotage may include an all or nothing mindset, shame, blame, guilt, regret, getting and staying off track from the holidays, travel, medical or stress. Have you had self sabotage in your past when trying to eat healthy and lose weight?
Instead, we strive to have a plan, learn from every situation, and adjust for the next time. What to change? Shopping, prepping, environment, coping strategy or something else. Always moving towards yours goals learning form everything, nevery quitting and giving up.
How about melons for health and weight loss?
Absolutely? Melons are very rich in water and low in calories. A pound of watermelon is only 135 calories! Other melons such as honeydew and cantaloupe among others are sweet, filling and similar in calories. Watermelon is also rich in citrulline which is a precursor to arginine then nitric acid which helps blood vessels relax. Melons may also assist with healthy bowel function and urinary flow. Have a healthy day, one tiny habit at a time!
What is the 10 minute rule?
Environment matters. Have you created a habit of food shopping 1-2 times per week to stock your home with what you need? Are you packing food any time you leave the home for 2-3 hours or more? Use the 10 minute rule. Ten minutes of packing can set you up for the next 5-10 hours. Whether you are on a plane, train, road trip, day trip, work day or other travel, taking 10 is always worth it. Strive to make the 10 minute rule a habit. How does it work out when you leave the house for an extended period of time and don’t pack? Have you ever eaten less then ideal due to getting extremely hungry with no healthy choices near by? Use the 10 minute rule to put you in a position to succeed.
Yours in great health!
