Celebrate wins! Celebrating wins each and every day for all of the positive action steps you take towards your health and wellness is an important piece of the program.
Go food shopping, prep a healthy meal, pack food, eat a healthy meal, journal, exercise, skip the chips, order a healthier meal at a restaurant, drink water, or any of the small things you do every day and week that is a positive step forward is to be rewarded with feelings of positivity and a feeling of accomplishment.
Yes, losing weight (if striving to lose weight) is important, but celebrating all of the tiny mini wins daily builds positive feelings and helps us to stay on track towards our goals.
Avoiding shame, blame, regret and guilt and instead building positivity and good feelings are the route towards a lifetime of a healthy habits. Even slipping and then getting right back on track the next meal or snack is to be acknowledged as a positive step in the right direction. I encourage you to celebrate all the little wins and positive things you do every day!
