Ground flax for health?

Ground flax

Benefits of flaxseeds? Flaxseeds are a rich source of the essential fatty acid linolenic acid. Just a tbsp of ground flax per day provides our daily needs. Flaxseeds are a good source of fiber, but may also lower the risk of breast cancer in woman although research is mixed. Here is a review of literature: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5808339/

Flaxseeds, in test tube and animal models, has shown that it may lower the risk of other cancers including skin, lung, colon among others, but research is preliminary.

Flax may also lower blood pressure, but research is mixed. Here is more: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6707798/

Take home? Have a tbsp per day of ground flax seed for the omega 3 fats and possible cancer preventative and blood pressure lowering benefits.

Yours in great health!
