What to eat and NOT to eat on July 4th?

Happy July 4th!

Simple weight loss tip for 7/4?

Aim for 50-75% of your food today as salads, fruits, veggies.

Skip the processed stuff: chips, deserts…and alcohol. All 3 lead to weight gain.

Processed food and beverages increase the dopamine reward system, may increase intake, and calories are absorbed at a higher rate with a smaller particle size.

Processed flours and sugars = weight gain.

If going to an event, bring a fruit platter, veggie tray, or something loaded with fruits and vegetables so you have a healthy option to choose from.
