Can you lose weight with 5 minute meals?

MYTH: You have to spend hours prepping and cooking to be healthy, lose weight and keep it off.

My take? FALSE.

…while you can certainly spend lots of time prepping and cooking if you want to, it’s totally unnecessary.

I never spend hours in the kitchen cooking and prepping. Back in the day maybe, at the start, but..
…you don’t need to.

While there are lots of unhealthy options out there (fast food, fast casual, snack food, junk food, unhealthy microwavable meals etc.),
…there are also lots of fast, healthy options out there these days.

I am the 5-minute chef 😊.

…90% of my meals take 5 minutes or less.

I don’t want to spend hours in the kitchen, and the dishes….
Maybe it was my over 10 years of living in New York City with a small kitchen and…
…little space to cook, but it helped me figure out how to keep it simple and eat healthfully with little space, less time and with little clean up.

Here’s an example of a simple, 5-minute meal for breakfast:

The breakfast smoothie:
• frozen fruit (berries, frozen mango, dragon fruit, passion fruit among other options)
• ground flax, hemp hearts, chia or other seeds
• banana (fresh or frozen)
• protein powder (optional)
• dry old-fashioned oats (optional)
• Other options are boundless…

My favorite fruits for a smoothie right now? Frozen mango, frozen blueberries, banana. Delish! See picture…

…you only need to rinse the blender and the cup (ok, it’s a pain to rinse the blender, but a small price to pay for a quick healthy meal).
