Is fruit sugar and processed sugar the same?

Why You Can Eat Carbohydrates and Still Lose Weight

Is fruit sugar the same as processed white sugar?

Absolutely not.  Fruit sugar is wrapped in fiber which slows the release, has plant pigments, phyto chemicals and host of healthy compounds.  Processed sugars have none.  They are simply sugar with no fiber or any of the other beneficial compounds.

Strive to eat fresh fruit instead of processed sugars (white sugar, brown sugar, powdered sugar etc).

In addition…
Processed sugars can reduce the good bacteria in our colon and also increase inflammation and cause the growth of bad bacteria.

Fresh or frozen fruit instead promotes the growth of good bacteria and reduces inflammation in the colon.

Take home? Skip the processed sugar and eat fruit instead!

Have a healthy day!
