What’s the best diet to lose weight?

Paleo, low fat, keto, carnivore, plant based, vegetarian, vegan or another?

The research shows that a variety of diets, if they provide a moderate caloric deficit, can facilitate weight loss.   So, there is no BEST diet…or is there?

…the research also shows that including whole plant foods in the diet is vital to lowering the risk of heart disease, cancer, and stroke which are the BIG THREE health events we want to avoid and prevent!

So, I’d cross off very low carb, keto, paleo and carnivore since they restrict whole plant foods vital to staying healthy and living a LONG time.

While we don’t need to be vegan or vegetarian, including more whole, fresh plant foods rich in fiber should be included with adequate protein.

…also, the diet should be tasty, satisfying, HEALTHY, weight loss producing, and compatible with LIVING A LONG LIFE.

Lastly, consistency is KEY.  On a diet, off a diet, leads to poor results.  I’ll start after the holidays, or next week, or after this or that…

…the more consistent you are, the better results you will have.
