How to take an accurate body weight?
When taking body weight, the most important factors to getting an accurate weight are as follows:
Take body weight in the morning, before food and fluid and when possible after moving bowels.
Before moving bowels, the weight will be higher as stool may weigh a pound or so.
An evening weight may be 3-4 lbs heavier as we have food in our digestive track which should digest by morning.
Weighing after fluids also is not accurate as 16 oz fluid will equal a pound heavier temporarily.
Try and weigh on a flat surface with minimal light clothing on none at all. But, be consistent, as clothes have weight. A pair of jeans could weigh a pound.
Have a healthy day!
