Use this one mindset strategy to make weight loss easier!

Mindset tip to reach your healthiest weight...
Strive to get your reps in!
Repetition is one of the most powerful tools you have at your disposal to lose weight and keep it off. How to use repetition to lose weight?
Anything you do repeatedly becomes easier to do and you become more skilled at doing. It also takes less mental and physical energy to repeat, as the task moves from the conscious to more of the subconscious mind.

Practiced dozens, hundreds or thousands of times, repeated actions can become second nature (habit/autopilot). We are striving to use the power of repetition to perform any task you need to perform such as: simple prepping, food shopping, journaling, eating healthy meals (basically getting healthy food in front of you when hungry) and exercising to become highly proficient and practiced allowing us to do these tasks more easily, leading to greater success.

I remember moving from New York City to Maryland a number of years back. While living in New York City, I had multiple food markets right on my street. I shopped daily for fresh produce and groceries. Once I moved to Maryland, instead of walking everywhere, I had to drive and needed to pack my food for the work day. I decided to create a new habit of food shopping weekly and packing my food for the work day each morning. It took a few months, but by practicing the daily tasks of prepping, packing and bringing my food through repetition, it eventually became a habit. I was committed to creating and maintaining this habit and routine. I wound up packing my food and beverage for the day (water, breakfast, lunch and snacks) for 14 straight years missing at most only a day or two the entire time. Repetition solidified the habit and commitment to the habit ensured its continuation.

Remember, the brain wants to conserve energy, so it will discourage us from doing tasks that have no immediate reward. So, creating a habit through repetition decreases the energy required to do a task thereby lowering resistance from the brain. That’s why habits are key to getting things done.

Ultimately, something you repeat over and over becomes a powerful tool and ultimately becomes a habit utilizing the power of the subconscious mind. Habits through repetition help us unlock tremendous potential to reach our goals.

Instead of thinking of eating regular meals repeatedly as ‘boring’ as some may, think of it as a powerful strategy to succeed.

Have a healthy day!
